About Me
Hello, my name is Carolyn. I am the face behind Thymeless Wire.
My journey into Encapsulating Life's Memories began in 2016.
I found out I was pregnant for the very first time in May 2016. My husband and I were thrilled at the prospect of becoming parents, even though this pregnancy was a bit of a surprise. We shared our wonderful news with close family when I was 6 weeks pregnant. Sadly we lost our baby at 10 weeks gestation due to a condition known as a Blighted Ovum. We were heart broken.
It took us nearly 6 months and 7 cycles to conceive our Son. Though in the scope of life that isn't much time, after a loss it feels like an eternity. He is our Rainbow Baby.
He was born in October 2017 and has completely changed our lives and filled our hearts with so much love.
As a mother I knew I wanted to the very best by him. To me, that started with breastfeeding. Our journey began with ease. I had an oversupply and was even able to donate some breast milk to multiple Momma's who needed a little help.
Once my son hit 3 months everything changed. My supply started to decrease and we ran into some issues. I struggled for two months to build my supply back up. This is when I decided to learn everything I could about preserving breast milk to create jewelry. If our journey was going to end I wanted to encapsulate this time spent on our journey.
Eventually I started a medication that allowed me to continue nourishing my son. Nearing his first birthday I began to wean from the medication, terrified our journey would soon end. But it didn't. In fact, my son nursed until he was 2.5 years old. We weaned when I was 20 weeks pregnant with his baby sister.
Life has expanded immensely since this journey began. My father passed away in May 2019. Loosing him has ignited a passion in me for creating more than just breast milk jewelry. I am now didicated to preserving your loved ones through multitude of elements.
My journey these past four years has instilled a fire in me to create beautiful pieces of jewelry that encapsulate life's memories. Everything from the powerful gift of a persons body to birth life to the sadness at the loss of life. I will preserve in stone and wire for you everything from your placenta to the cremains (including those of your beloved pets) of your loved ones.
I am dedicated to encapsulating your life's memories. Please feel free to message me about my journey or to share yours with me.
